Silmara Fernandes Moura

Silmara Fernandes Moura is a geriatrician and attending physician at Hospital Américas Medical City in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she provides inpatient care in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. She earned her medical degree from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Hospital Federal da Lagoa, and subsequently completed Geriatrics residency at Hospital Universitário Pedro Ernesto, UERJ.

Her professional background combines geriatric medicine, inpatient care, and critical care with research experience in oncology. She has contributed to studies on occupational cancer burden in Brazil, oncology assessment instruments, and symptom patterns in colorectal cancer, as well as to the Brazilian Ministry of Health’s Atlas of Work-Related Cancer in Brazil.
