V. Balu

V. Balu is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Kerala, India. He completed his MBBS at Azeezia Institute of Medical Sciences and his MD in Radiation Oncology at the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, followed by DNB certification in Radiation Oncology from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.

His clinical work focuses on the radiotherapeutic management of solid tumors, particularly head and neck, breast, and gynecologic cancers. His practice includes IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, stereotactic radiotherapy, and intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy, alongside multidisciplinary cancer care and toxicity management. He is also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, thesis supervision, clinical research, and tumor board activities.
