“Yesterday was one of those days I truly wished would not end.
It was challenging and exhausting, but at the same time, incredibly exciting and intellectually stimulating.
We had the privilege of bringing together two major oncology departments in Egypt – Nasser Institute and Ain Shams University – for a focused discussion on some of the most challenging scenarios in advanced prostate cancer.
The discussion was strong, evidence-based, and, most importantly, challenging.
We explored a question that is becoming increasingly important in our daily practice:
‘How can we balance efficacy with safety and quality of life when treating vulnerable patients with advanced prostate cancer?’
Because the goal is not simply to extend survival – it is to achieve the best possible outcomes while preserving function, dignity, and quality of life.
An exhausting day, but definitely one worth having.
